You can test positive for a good week after you lose the baby and before you know anything is wrong. You can test positive even after you start bleeding with a miscarriage. Why bother?
Stop stressing yourself out, there's no rational reason your body should fail your child, or that the baby should not be viable. Stress is the number one cause of early miscarriage.
Get on with your life and stop freaking out, you're only making things worse.
Every woman wonders, but you have a choice of either driving yourself nuts and causing problems, or making the purposeful effort to stay busy and keep your mind on other things.

A "chemical pregnancy" is just another term for an early miscarriage. Many times this happens without the woman even knowing she is pregnant. Usually the reason for this is because of abnormalities with the developing fetus or due to the embryo not implanting properly within the womb lining itself.
Your doctor will probably advise you to wait for 2 - 3 months before trying again to conceive as it can take a while for your hormone level to return to its normal level. Usually it takes longer if you miscarry further along. So given the fact that you were only a few weeks along it should only be a week or two.
Try not to worry.... it is perfectly normal and happens more often than a lot of people realise as it often occurs very early on after conception and most people assume it is their period but a little late. I have had this happen myself and have gone on to have a perfectly healthy baby since then so it does not mean that anything is wrong with you.
Hope this helps and good luck =)

I also just had a miscarriage so I feel your pain. I am so sorry for your loss. I was 8 weeks. I have a 4 year old little girl:) Well I would say you have a great chance of having a great pregnancy after a misscarriage. My Dr. told me that 6 out of 10 pregnancies end in a misscarriage so you are so not alone. What I think is just keep taking your prenatal vitamins and eating right. Before you TTC again though you might want to try to lose some weight since you said you was obese. Just to make sure you are healthy yourself when you get pregnant .

You feel pregnant, because you are pregnant.
Just because they told you that you have a blighted ovum does not mean that your pregnancy goes away right when diagnosed.
You will need to wait for your body to naturally abort your pregnancy - or the doctor will need to do a d&c.
Soon after either one, your symptoms will start to go away.
After my miscarriage, my symptoms started fading away within a week.
So sorry you have to go through this. I know what it's like.
Good luck to you!

The most likely answer is that your body still thinks it is pregnant. Even after giving birth, it takes time for your body to return to normal and stop making the hormones it makes during pregnancy. I'm sorry you had a miscarriage, but try to focus on getting healthy again before you think about beinmg pregnant. Sometimes your body is too stressed to be pregnant or has too little energy to grow a baby.
